“Every drone that enters the territory of our country should be shot down,” said in the Sejm the head of the PiS parliamentary club, Mariusz Błaszczak. He also raised the question of the anti-drone system, which is not deployed on the eastern border – the matter was reported today by the portal Niezalezna.pl. The former head of the Ministry of National Defence also reminded that the team of prosecutors is still active, “who in Siedlce are bringing charges against soldiers of the Polish Army.”
On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz presented in the Sejm information regarding the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones.
Błaszczak stressed during the parliamentary debate that one must not create the impression in public opinion that we should get used to drones entering the territory of our country.
“That is why every drone that enters the territory of our country should be shot down,” declared the head of the PiS parliamentary club.
He emphasized that he takes in good faith what happened on Wednesday, namely Poland’s downing of Russian drones.
He also pointed out another problem. “The team of prosecutors in Siedlce, who are bringing charges against soldiers of the Polish Army defending Poland’s border with the use of weapons, should be disbanded,” said Błaszczak.
In his view, the Polish anti-drone system should also be used at the border. “There was no clear answer to the question why this system is not deployed on the Polish border. Why is it not being modernized? Unless it is because, as reported in today’s media, Germany is seeking to supply Poland with an anti-drone system,” emphasized the PiS politician.
Błaszczak also addressed Kosiniak-Kamysz:
“Mr. Minister, Mr. Prime Minister, you demanded my resignation back when there was a war beyond our eastern border, correct? That is how it was. And this is also the difference in approach to state affairs.”
