“Donald Tusk set Poland on fire. He is destroying everything. He is a wrecking-ball politician,” said legendary anti-communist opposition activist from the communist era, Adam Borowski, in an interview with Niezależna.pl.
A large protest against the policies of Donald Tusk’s government is taking place in the streets of Warsaw today. The demonstration was organized by Solidarity, but members of other trade unions as well as Gazeta Polska Clubs are also participating.
Adam Borowski, a legendary anti-communist opposition activist during communist rule in Poland and head of the Warsaw Gazeta Polska Club, told Niezależna.pl that “Tusk set Poland on fire.”
“He is destroying everything. He is a wrecking-ball politician. We came here not only because of the Green Deal. The Green Deal is just one element of their policy. The most important issue is the rule of law — that is where everything begins. They are attacking the courts and refusing to recognize particular chambers. For two years they refused to recognize the Constitutional Tribunal and the National Council of the Judiciary,” he said.
Borowski also referred to attacks on TV Republika.
“Tusk hugged Vladimir Putin. Putin taught him how to destroy the media. There are no independent media left in Russia,” he stated.
The head of the Warsaw Gazeta Polska Club was also asked about the future of the “Town of Anger,” a protest camp organized in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
“We will not back down. The camp will be the spark that triggers an avalanche. And that avalanche will sweep them away,” he declared.
