BREAKING NEWS: Dozens of Balloons Breach Polish Airspace — Military Tracking Ongoing Operation

As portal Niezalezna.pl has learned unofficially, on Sunday morning another several dozen balloons entered Polish airspace from Belarus. The objects are currently airborne and under close observation by the services, the Border Guard confirmed in a conversation with us.

This is yet another provocation by eastern services in a short period, carried out under the guise of smuggling. Journalists from Niezalezna.pl had earlier obtained information that on the night from Friday to Saturday (16/17 January), more than 50 objects entered Poland. Most of them were so-called smuggling balloons equipped with tracking devices and contraband. The services have not disclosed the full number of recovered fragments so far; it is known that there are already more than nine.

On Sunday before noon, several dozen balloons entered Polish airspace. As Niezalezna.pl learned from the Border Guard, they are currently in the air and are being closely monitored by military services. The Border Guard is also on standby, awaiting their landing and precise location in order to carry out inspections.

“Testing our systems”

“We are fully aware that the current situation is part of broader hybrid actions. Their aim is not only to test our systems, but above all to provoke social anxiety,” the police and the Border Guard explained in reference to the mass incursions of objects from beyond the eastern border.

Earlier the same day, the National Security Bureau reminded that “we are dealing with a provocation under the pretext of smuggling activity.”
