The UK Supreme Court has ruled that a woman is someone who is born female, not someone who simply identifies as one. In short: biology over ideology. “If things keep going this way, Rafał Trzaskowski will end up as the last rainbow knight of an ideology where gender is chosen like items from a café menu, and reality is based on declarations rather than scientific facts,” wrote Zbigniew Ziobro, Law and Justice MP, on x.com.
On Wednesday, the UK Supreme Court declared that the legal definition of a woman refers to biological sex. The ruling came in response to a dispute between Scottish activists and the Scottish government, which had expanded the legal definition of “woman” to include transgender individuals with gender recognition certificates.
A Victory for Common Sense
The verdict has been hailed as a landmark decision around the world. The message is clear: common sense has prevailed. Former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro commented on the ruling via social media, also taking a jab at Rafał Trzaskowski and his “progressive” views—views that, as Ziobro pointed out, Trzaskowski seems to be distancing himself from during the current election campaign.
“Normalcy is making a comeback. A breeze of common sense has reached even the British Isles. The UK Supreme Court has ruled that—brace yourself!—a woman is defined by biology, not ‘feelings.’ If this continues, Rafał Trzaskowski will become the last rainbow knight of an ideology where gender can be picked off a menu and reality is a matter of self-declaration rather than scientific fact,”
he wrote.
Normalność wraca. Powiew zdrowego rozsądku dotarł nawet na Wyspy Brytyjskie.

Sąd Najwyższy Wlk. Brytanii uznał, że kobietę – uwaga! – określa biologia, a nie „poczucie”. Jeśli tak dalej pójdzie, to @trzaskowski_ zostanie ostatnim tęczowym rycerzem ideologii, w której płcie można…
Trzaskowski—the Last “Rainbow Knight”?
And indeed, that might be the case. While Trzaskowski is doing everything he can to distance himself from his previously vocal support for LGBT ideology during the election campaign, his past actions are being closely scrutinized.
His efforts aren’t helped by the actions of Gazeta Wyborcza, which recently sued Law and Justice MP Paweł Szefernaker for sharing an image online of Trzaskowski with a transvestite—taken at a pride parade he used to eagerly attend as Tusk’s deputy.
What’s more, during Friday’s debate, Trzaskowski—now the Civic Coalition’s candidate—was publicly embarrassed by his own ally, Magdalena Biejat. When Karol Nawrocki placed an LGBT flag next to him, Trzaskowski quickly moved to hide it from view. Biejat, representing the New Left, walked across the room to take the flag and claimed it for herself—calling out Trzaskowski for being ashamed of his own beliefs.
