Chaos and Haste. Another Proof That “Port Polska” Is One Big Improvisation

When was the decision made to announce the change of name from the Central Communication Port to “Port Polska”? There is yet another piece of evidence showing that the entire operation was carried out hastily and without proper preparation.

On December 12, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the renaming of the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny project to Port Polska. The change was sudden and unexpected, and proof of how quickly it was implemented is the new logo—simply the blue text “Port Polska” on a white background. It has already been announced that the logo is to be “improved,” while the entire renaming process so far has cost… PLN 515.99. That is the amount paid for the new website address and the purchase of the domain.

Port Polska — and calendars with the CPK logo

Another curious detail illustrating how the rebranding process was conducted was shared on X by Radosław Karbowski. As it turns out, the name change was carried out so chaotically that the company’s calendars for 2026 will be branded with the… Central Communication Port logo.

It appears that the name change was not part of the company’s immediate plans: calendars were ordered, and only afterward was the decision made—actually, a different name! And since the calendars had already been ordered…

“I asked the company’s press office to confirm these reports, to indicate the costs involved, and to explain how the calendars with the ‘old’ name would be used. The company confirmed that such calendars were produced. Unfortunately, the press office ignored my remaining questions,” Karbowski reports.

Online commentators also point out that the Act on the Central Communication Port is still in force.
