Two independent laboratories confirmed the presence of cholera in an elderly woman in Stargard. Sanitary services are currently investigating the source of the infection. Neither the patient nor any of her close contacts had traveled abroad. The woman’s condition is described as stable.
A total of 26 individuals who had contact with the patient were placed under quarantine. On Wednesday, 14 of them completed quarantine, and the rest were released on Friday. None of them reported worsening health or any concerning symptoms.
