German police have detained participants of a citizen patrol at the border crossing in Lubieszyn, according to a post on X by Dariusz Matecki. As clarified by Tomasz Duklanowski, they have already been held for several dozen minutes. Online discussions are raising questions about which side of the border the German police are conducting their operations.
The Border Defence Movement is gathering an increasing number of volunteers who head to the border with Germany. They cannot count on favourable treatment from the authorities there. Today, the detention of a citizen patrol occurred at the Lubieszyn border crossing. They were detained by German police.
Footage of the incident was posted on X by Law and Justice MP Dariusz Matecki.
“It is clear that the issue of Polish citizens themselves defending the border angers the German services greatly. Poles might thwart their plans! We’re moving out to patrol the borders!” the politician commented.
Journalist Tomasz Duklanowski also shared a photo from the incident.
