Clear Message from the Stands: ‘No to Trzaskowski!’ – Protest During Match in Kielce

“Rape, poverty, the threat of war… STOP Rafał and the Civic Platform!” – a banner with this slogan appeared yesterday in the stands during a match held in Kielce. It’s yet another example of football fans “greeting” Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition’s candidate, in a rather unconventional way!

The presidential election campaign for 2025 has undoubtedly entered its decisive phase. Although Rafał Trzaskowski from the Civic Coalition is leading the polls, each new survey shows his support weakening.

The deputy to Donald Tusk felt a significant blow after the presidential debates — particularly because he failed to show up for two of them, both organized by the Republika TV channel, which drew criticism from many Poles.

Fans vs. Trzaskowski

It’s becoming increasingly common to see banners targeting Trzaskowski and his political party appearing at football matches, especially during club competitions.

What Happened in Kielce

Yesterday, at EXBUD Arena, Korona Kielce defeated Jagiellonia Białystok 3-1. However, the result of the match wasn’t the main point of focus. In the stands — on the Korona fans’ side — a banner appeared with a slogan opposing both the KO candidate and the Civic Platform party as a whole.

The banner read: “Rape, poverty, the threat of war… STOP Rafał and the Civic Platform!”
