Two days after World Star Wars Day, the first edition of Cosmicon Silesian Fantasy took place in Planetarium – Silesian Science Park. Fans of all genres of Fantasy came to Silesian Park.
At the Silesian Planetarium in Chorzów, Cosmicon – also known as the Silesian Fantasy Festival – took place over the weekend of May 6th and 7th. Attendees of all ages, not just children, were thrilled to pose for pictures with Darth Vader and other beloved characters from the Star Wars universe.
The festival’s organizers encountered an unexpected obstacle on the first day of the event due to inclement weather. Originally, some of the planned activities, such as the opening ceremony and a lightsaber fight show, were supposed to be held in the atrium of the planetarium. However, the rainy weather did not deter science fiction and fantasy fans, as hundreds of them still showed up at Silesian Park.

The Silesian Planetarium was packed to the brim with fans eagerly waiting to take pictures with characters such as R2-D2, Lord Vader, and even Batman. The Spaces of the planetarium were bursting at the seams with fans trying to catch a glimpse of their favorite heroes and villains.
