Current account deficit decreased in November informs central bank

Poland’s current account deficit fell to EUR 422 million at the end of November 2022, against a deficit of EUR 597 million recorded at the end of October, according to central bank figures released on Friday.

Market analysts expected the deficit to amount to EUR 950 million.

Poland recorded a EUR 1.5-billion deficit in the trade of goods in November, with a EUR 2.94-billion surplus in services.

The country recorded a EUR 1.79-billion deficit in primary income and a EUR 71 million deficit in secondary income.

Exports of goods in November 2022 grew by 20.3 per cent year on year, and imports rose by 17.7 per cent from November 2021.
