Former Poland national team coach, Czesław Michniewicz, has found a new job in football management. Abha, the twelfth-ranked team in the previous season of the Saudi Professional League, announced the signing of Michniewicz as their head coach. Speculations about Michniewicz’s potential move to the Middle East have been growing in recent days, and now it has been officially confirmed.
Contract Details and Warm Welcome
According to journalist Krzysztof Stanowski, Michniewicz has agreed to a one-year contract with Abha, with the option to extend it for another season. The Saudi Arabian club warmly welcomed Michniewicz through a special video material, expressing their excitement about his arrival.
Michniewicz’s tenure with Abha will begin with the start of the 2023/2024 Saudi Professional League season on August 11, lasting until May 2024. The experienced coach will face new challenges as he takes charge of a team looking to improve upon their previous season’s performance.
