DHL Supply Chain has launched a groundbreaking, fully automated warehouse in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland, marking the first use of the AutoStore system in Central and Eastern Europe. This high-tech facility, operated by Element Logic—a leading AutoStore distributor—enhances Poland’s position within the European e-commerce logistics landscape.
The AutoStore system optimizes small-part storage with compact, high-density storage solutions, utilizing 25 robots and 33,000 bins for streamlined inventory management. Automating the picking and retrieval processes reduces order processing times and enhances overall warehouse efficiency.
Hendrik Venter, CEO EMEA of DHL Supply Chain, highlights this investment as a strategic step in DHL’s global push toward innovation in logistics. “AutoStore has proven benefits, particularly for e-commerce needs, providing cost-effective and space-efficient solutions,” he said.
This initiative is part of a larger trend positioning Poland as a central logistics hub for Europe, drawing global businesses through advancements in automation, skilled labor, and infrastructure.
