Tomasz Trela of the New Left published an embarrassing post online in which he boasted that the duck he was preparing for Christmas was “exceptionally well put together.” His post drew heavy criticism. “With this post you have finally proven what we have known about you for a long time,” one internet user replied to Trela.
Trela’s Embarrassing Christmas Post
On December 26, Tomasz Trela published the following post:
“Holidays are a time for reflection and… thorough analysis. Today on the workbench: a duck. I’m taking it apart, looking for flaws in the craftsmanship, but this one is somehow exceptionally well put together. Completely unlike [something else].”
Even during Christmas, the politician did not change his previous “style” of expression.
The vast majority of internet users criticized Trela for the post. Below are selected, measured comments:
- “The holidays are a time for reconciliation and forgiveness. Less venom, more love.”
- “As a holiday good deed, I can pay for 10 visits to a certain specialist for you. Please take advantage of this opportunity while it’s not too late.”
- “With this post you have finally proven what we have known about you for a long time.”
- “You are heading very efficiently toward the award for the most idiotic politician of 2025. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more—and stronger.”
- “Are you normal?”
The Left-wing politician is, of course, not the first. Some time ago, there was widespread discussion about Bronisław Komorowski and his words about a “double shot at ducks.” When asked what such a double shot meant, he replied: “You shoot two. One after the other, with a double-barreled shotgun. Bang—and two… ducks fall.”
The Day Before, Trela Called for ‘Letting Go of Disputes’
Trela’s December 26 post is all the more embarrassing given that the day before he had published a post calling for… “letting go of disputes.”
“In this holiday time, let us let go of disputes. Let raisins in cheesecake or mayonnaise in salad not divide us. Let us shed the chains of prejudice and sit down at a common table—even a round one. Let us take an example from those who speak in a human, kind voice. Best wishes from Zosia, Dominika, and Tomek,”
he wrote.
