American soldiers in Poland. Trump responds
Before the closed part of the meeting, a brief press conference was held with both leaders taking questions from journalists.
One of the questions addressed to Donald Trump was: “Will American soldiers remain in Poland?”
“Yes, that’s how I see it. Perhaps there’s something I don’t know, but… more troops will be deployed there. We want to have a greater presence. It’s not that large at the moment, but we will definitely remain in Poland,” the U.S. president responded.
He emphasized: “We are very closely tied to Poland.”
“We have a very special relationship! We never considered withdrawing our forces from Poland. With Poland, we are together forever!” declared the U.S. president.
Meanwhile, President Nawrocki stressed that American troops “are part of our society.” – “It is the signal to Russia that we are united,” he added.
“We will reach 5 percent of GDP in defense spending, but thanks to the presence of American soldiers on Polish soil, we are safe,” Nawrocki underlined.
