Donald Tusk Desperately Tries to Save SAFE by Scaring People With “Leaving Europe,” Czarnek Responds

Donald Tusk published another desperate post today on the X platform regarding the European SAFE program. The prime minister once again decided to play the card of an alleged Polexit, suggesting that opposition to the financial solutions being pushed through is… an attempt to take the country out of the European Union. Internet users and opposition politicians reacted immediately to the head of government’s words, accusing him of trying to plunge Poland into debt and using cheap pre-election tactics.

In a post published shortly after 9:00 a.m., the prime minister wrote:
“In the battle over SAFE, all masks have fallen. Today no one can have any doubts that the upcoming elections will decide whether Poland remains in Europe and who wants to take us out of it. Together we must stop the political madmen.”

This message was met with immediate resistance in the comments section, where substantive and firm voices of opposition dominated.

Przemysław Czarnek, the prime ministerial candidate of Law and Justice (PiS), responded to Tusk. “It is true that in the case of SAFE all masks have fallen. Poles already know who pushed our army into a Brussels-German swindle and who wants the military to develop in a sovereign way. Poland has been in Europe since its birth and baptism, not thanks to submission to Germany, which you are forcing through. Ahead of us is a choice: a sovereign, free and prosperous Poland, or one managed from Brussels and Berlin. Poles will tell you and your patrons to get out!” he wrote.

Among those commenting was also Member of the European Parliament Arkadiusz Mularczyk, who directly pointed to the real threats stemming from the implementation of the program supported by the government – the politician recalled.

Many internet users pointed to what they described as the economic absurdity of further borrowing, seeing it as a threat to Polish sovereignty. Marcin Stępniewski, head of the Law and Justice (PiS) councilors’ club in Kielce, noted:

Commenters also had no illusions about the political intentions behind Donald Tusk’s post today, seeing it solely as a pre-election attempt to manipulate fear.

Even harsher words were voiced, for example by Law and Justice (PiS) MEP Bogdan Rzońca: “Sovereignty is not taken on credit, Mr. Donald Tusk.”
