Drunk Actor Assaults MPs in Sejm Restaurant, Faces Charges

Celebrity Jacek K., who assaulted MPs Dariusz Matecki and Krzysztof Ciecióra in the Sejm restaurant, has been charged with two counts of violating the physical integrity of public officials. He could face up to three years in prison.

Jakub Pacyniak, spokesperson for the Śródmieście district police, confirmed that the 54-year-old suspect, who attacked the Law and Justice (PiS) MPs, was charged with two counts of assaulting public officials. Following interrogation, he was released home.

Pacyniak stated earlier that a breathalyzer test indicated the suspect had 1 promille of alcohol in his system. Police received formal complaints from MPs Matecki and Ciecióra, who were also questioned.

According to Matecki, the actor, known from the series “M jak miłość,” approached the MPs while they were dining. “He began cursing, then hit me and fellow PiS MP Krzysztof Ciecióra. He was subsequently detained by the Marshal’s Guard, and we called the police,” Matecki reported.
