During President Karol Nawrocki’s visit to Germany, Austrian activist Gunther Fehlinger-Jahn published scandalous posts online. He threatened Poland with border revisions and called the head of state a puppet of Putin.
Scandalous posts from Austria
Fehlinger-Jahn, an Austrian economist and political activist, attacked President Nawrocki on the day of his visit to Berlin. On social media, he criticised Poland’s stance on war reparations:
“Dear Pro-Putin Polish President who hates Ukraine & Germany & EU… welcome to Germany. If you mention one more time that Germany shall pay WWII reparations to Poland while Germany pays 9 billion to Ukraine yearly, I will campaign for Poland to return German lands,” wrote Fehlinger-Jahn.
In another post, the Austrian escalated his accusations against the Polish head of state:
“I accuse Polish President Nawrocki of being the most anti-Ukrainian leader in Polish history and very much a pro-Putin puppet. And everything he has said or done since taking office is proof, and I was 100% right to oppose him, and it is a tragedy he won!” he stated.
The Austrian activist did not stop at attacks against Nawrocki. He publicly declared his political sympathies:
“I endorse Radosław Sikorski,” he announced, while at the same time criticising Donald Tusk for supporting Rafał Trzaskowski, whom he called a “sofie that lost”.
