The head of the National Research Group (OGB) briefly commented on the insinuations made by Civic Coalition (KO) politicians regarding statements made during Karol Nawrocki’s election night event. “Maybe they have people who actually understand something about polling?” suggested Łukasz Pawłowski.
On Friday, Niezależna revealed how circles associated with the current ruling camp are attempting to push a narrative of alleged election fraud. These claims primarily concern supposed irregularities in vote tally protocols at polling stations. However—as analysts have demonstrated—such irregularities affected both candidates positively and negatively, and their scale is significantly smaller than the final vote difference between Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski.
Nevertheless, many politicians continue to spin the narrative of alleged fraud. They have focused on Karol Nawrocki’s remark during the election night, made after the publication of exit poll results. The polls presented after the closing of voting stations showed a very slight lead for Rafał Trzaskowski. However, taking into account the margin of error and the percentage of refusals to respond, the outcome remained uncertain and required waiting for the official count by the National Electoral Commission (PKW).
“Yes, we will win. Tonight we will win. We will win and save Poland,”
said Nawrocki on Sunday evening.
Politicians in Search of Sensation
Michał Wyderka, a Civic Platform (PO) activist, stated that Nawrocki’s words—later echoed by Jarosław Kaczyński—“need to be explained.”
“Interesting how the leader from Żoliborz and his candidate already knew they’d win the presidential election that very night? No one had managed to count the votes honestly yet, but they already knew. Prophetic abilities? That needs to be clarified,” wrote Wyderka, assistant to MP Marta Golbik (KO).

Łukasz Pawłowski, head of the National Research Group (OGB), succinctly responded to the politician’s insinuations. OGB had prepared the exit poll for TV Republika.
“Maybe they have people who actually understand something about polling?”
suggested Łukasz Pawłowski.
