Election Results Challenged. “What Tusk Is Doing Under Giertych’s Influence Is Complete Madness”

“What Donald Tusk is doing today, under the influence of Giertych, by challenging the outcome of the election, clearly shows where our political opponents currently stand — it is sheer madness,” said PiS MP Jacek Sasin, commenting on the actions taken by members of the December 13 coalition in response to the presidential election results.

Claims of “Election Fraud”

According to official data from the National Electoral Commission (PKW), in the second round of the presidential election, Karol Nawrocki received 10,606,877 votes, while Rafał Trzaskowski received 10,237,286. The next step is Nawrocki’s swearing-in before the National Assembly, scheduled for August 6.

Jacek Sasin addressed the activities of the “Silni Razem” group during an interview on Polsat News. In his view, “What Donald Tusk is doing today, under Giertych’s guidance, by questioning the election results, demonstrates just how far our political opponents have gone — descending into complete madness, challenging the very foundations of democracy, and insulting millions of Poles who cast their votes in this election.” He emphasized that “this path must be abandoned.”

“Donald Tusk is indeed exceptionally cynical and knows how to phrase things in a way that leaves room for interpretation. But to me, his statements are unequivocal. It’s perfectly clear he is playing on Giertych’s team, which openly uses such rhetoric,” he stated.

According to Sasin, “Tusk is deliberately diverting attention away from the real electoral irregularities that occurred — I am referring to the large-scale foreign funding of Rafał Trzaskowski’s campaign, which constitutes a criminal offense.”

“The electoral committee of Rafał Trzaskowski has, by all indications, committed a crime. And yet today, look — no one is discussing this. Instead, we’re talking about a completely fabricated issue of alleged irregularities in polling stations,” he reminded.

The PiS MP also addressed the alleged irregularities in vote counting.

“In 11 polling stations, there were discrepancies that disadvantaged Trzaskowski. There were over 32,000 precinct electoral commissions in total. So we are not even talking about one-tenth of a percent — just a minuscule fraction of commissions where the results were questioned, likely due to simple mistakes, as those protocols were also signed by representatives of Trzaskowski, the Left, and Marshal Hołownia,” he stressed.
