    EU Boosts Czech Republic with €2.2 Billion: Energy Transition and Migration Talks

    European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala met today in Prague to discuss energy transition and migration policy. During a joint press conference, von der Leyen announced that the EU will provide an additional funding of 2.2 billion euros to the Czech Republic as part of the bloc’s economic recovery package. This includes an extra 736 million euros for the country’s energy sector affected by the war in Ukraine.
