EU parliament lifts immunity of 4 Polish conservatives. Their crime? Having the wrong beliefs

The European Parliament (EP) has voted to lift the immunity of four Law and Justice (PiS) MEPs who are accused in Poland of violating hate crime laws through an election advert that warned of the dangers of allowing immigrants into the country. The pretext for this was liking and sharing on social media an election advertising spot from the Law and Justice campaign in 2018 that warned of the potential threats posed by the influx of illegal immigrants into Europe.
