EXCLUSIVE: Serious Security Breach at Polish Armed Forces Operational Command. Civilian Car Enters Military Base

The Niezalezna.pl portal has obtained information about a serious incident that occurred at the turn of February and March 2026. A civilian vehicle breached the tightly secured premises of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces (DORSZ) in Warsaw’s Bemowo district, at 2 Radiowa Street, and moved around the complex for several minutes. The military has officially confirmed the incident in response to our inquiries, although it refuses to disclose details.

According to our findings, the driver of the civilian car entered the facility through the main gate, closely following a military vehicle and exploiting the moment when the barrier had not yet fully lowered. Our information indicates that the man then drove around the site for approximately eight minutes, apparently conducting reconnaissance. When apprehended by guards, he reportedly pretended to be mentally ill. Our sources also suggested that the Ministry of National Defence issued a strict ban on disclosing information about the incident.

In light of these reports, we sent official questions to the Ministry of National Defence, the military, and the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW). In a statement provided to us, Lt. Col. Jacek Goryszewski, spokesperson for the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, confirmed that “a breach of the security system occurred through the entry of an unauthorized vehicle onto the military complex at 2 Radiowa Street in Warsaw.”

However, the military does not directly address our findings regarding the alleged eight-minute reconnaissance or the exact method used to breach the gate. “At the current stage of proceedings, we do not confirm the detailed mechanism of entry or information regarding the duration of the vehicle’s movement within the complex,” the spokesperson stated. He added: “The unauthorized vehicle was stopped by the guard service.”

According to our source, the perpetrator was Belarusian. However, in official correspondence, Lt. Col. Goryszewski clearly stated: “The driver of the vehicle is a Polish citizen.” This discrepancy may be explained by the possibility that the individual is of Belarusian origin but holds Polish citizenship.

What happened to the detained man? After being apprehended, he was handed over to the Police and subsequently to the Military Gendarmerie. As the Operational Command informed us: “No procedural detention measure was applied against him.” Currently, “the Mazovian Branch of the Military Gendarmerie is conducting an investigation into an offense under Article 193 §1 of the Criminal Code.” The Command also assured that “additional measures to strengthen the protection system of the complex were implemented immediately after the incident.”

We also asked the Military Counterintelligence Service whether the incident was assessed as deliberate reconnaissance by foreign intelligence services and whether the perpetrator had previously been of interest to counterintelligence. The SKW response avoided specifics, providing only the following statement:

“The Military Counterintelligence Service performs tasks resulting from its statutory competences as defined in Article 5 of the Act of 9 June 2006 on the Military Counterintelligence Service and the Military Intelligence Service. Information collected in the course of these tasks is protected pursuant to Article 39 of the aforementioned Act.”
