The World No.1 started her struggles at this year’s tournament in Indian Wells in magnificent style. As expected, Iga Swiatek easily defeated Claire Liu in the 2nd round of the tournament in Indian Wells.
In the second set, Liu managed to win as many as one game, which she will certainly remember for the rest of her life. Swiatek, however, very quickly ‘corrected’ her mistake and moments later defeated the American 6:1.
The Polish player quickly advanced to the next stage, beating the American 6:0, 6:1. The World No.1 waits for her next opponent. It will be Peyton Stearns or Bianca Andreescu.
