Filip Maciejuk and Marta Jaskulska Claim Victory in Polish Time Trial Championships

Filip Maciejuk of Bora-hansgrohe triumphed in the Polish National Time Trial Championships, held in Radzanów near Płock. The 24-year-old from Puławy claimed his first elite gold medal by completing the flat 44.7 km course in record time. He finished 19 seconds ahead of Kamil Gradek (Bahrain Victorious) and 1 minute 20 seconds ahead of Szymon Sajnok (Q36.5). Notably, the defending champion Michał Kwiatkowski (Ineos Grenadiers) did not compete, and the eight-time national champion Maciej Bodnar retired last December.

    Women’s Elite Time Trial

In the women’s elite time trial, Marta Jaskulska of Ceratizit WNT emerged victorious. She completed the 29.8 km course 17 seconds ahead of her teammate Marta Lach. The defending champion, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka (Canyon-SRAM), who placed seventh in last year’s World Championships in Scotland, had to settle for the bronze, finishing 26 seconds behind Jaskulska.

Maciejuk’s victory marks a significant milestone in his career, following his fourth-place finish in the same event last year. The young cyclist’s win is a testament to his dedication and progress in the sport. Similarly, Jaskulska’s performance underscores her growing prowess and potential in competitive cycling.
