An anonymous donor has gifted over 650 new pairs of shoes to volunteer firefighters in Łukta, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The donation, consisting of both children’s and adult’s shoes, will be delivered to flood victims in Nysa.
Generous Donation for Flood Relief
Mateusz Owsianka, the deputy commander of the Łukta volunteer firefighters, shared that the unit had been organizing a collection for those affected by recent floods. The donor, who requested anonymity, contributed an entire van filled with shoes, along with 300 pairs of warm socks for those in need.
The firefighters purchased additional essentials, including rubber boots, cleaning supplies, and food, with their own funds. When the firefighters shared news of the generous donation online, the community’s response was overwhelmingly positive. They will travel to Nysa overnight to deliver the much-needed supplies.
The Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship has already sent numerous relief transports to Nysa, with local organizations and the Food Bank coordinating much of the support.
