First Group of Poles Evacuated from the Middle East Arrives in Poland

The first group of Polish citizens evacuated from the Middle East region has safely arrived in Poland. Early Friday morning, military transport aircraft Boeing 737 landed in the country with 109 people on board. The operation was carried out by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, which emphasized that the Polish Armed Forces remain ready for further evacuation missions.

“Shortly after 03:00, Polish Air Force B737 aircraft safely transported 109 people back to the country. The activities of the Polish Military Contingent Middle East were coordinated by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, while personnel and resources were provided by the General Command of the Armed Forces,”

the Command reported on the platform X.

“The Polish Armed Forces have once again confirmed their professionalism and readiness to assist citizens,” the statement added.

“The Polish Armed Forces remain ready to carry out further tasks related to the evacuation of Polish citizens, and the situation in the region is being continuously monitored,” the Operational Command of the Armed Forces declared in another post on X.

“They departed yesterday at 05:40 and arrived today shortly after 03:00. From Dubai they traveled by bus to Muscat in Oman, from where they returned on two Polish Air Force aircraft as part of medical transport. The entire operation took place under the reliable care of staff from Polish diplomatic missions: Polish Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Polish Embassy in Riyadh, with the support of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces and the authorities of the UAE and Oman. Thank you!”
