Marta Nawrocka, from the very beginning of Karol Nawrocki’s presidency, became – much like their children – a target of attacks from the December 13 coalition and the media supporting it. As it turns out, however, she has emerged from this clash victorious. This is evidenced, among other things, by the latest United Surveys poll conducted for Wirtualna Polska.
She Has Gained the Sympathy of Every Fourth Supporter of the Ruling Coalition
Marta Nawrocka is viewed positively by 50.5 percent of respondents, including 22.7 percent who assess her “very positively” and 27.8 percent “rather positively”. A total of 31 percent of those surveyed expressed a critical opinion of the First Lady. Within this group, 11.8 percent chose “very negatively”. Meanwhile, 18.5 percent have no opinion on the matter.
As many as 73 percent of voters of opposition parties support her, while in the camp of the ruling coalition – which almost unanimously criticizes the president – Marta Nawrocka finds approval among 25 percent of respondents.
Against Hate
At the beginning of April, Marta Nawrocka’s foundation “Blisko Ludzkich Spraw” launched its first social project aimed at young people. The initiative focuses on combating hate and building mutual respect in schools. This is a concrete action by the First Lady that has already attracted significant interest at its outset.
The meeting included direct conversations with students. Marta Nawrocka actively participated in the event, and from the start of her public activity, she has emphasized the importance of engaging with citizens and involvement in social issues. The organizers clearly defined the goal of the project – to make young people aware of the impact of words and how to respond to verbal abuse:
“At the primary school in Mąkolice, ‘Hejt Off – words have power’ has launched, and there was truly a lot of positive energy,” it was stated on the foundation’s official profile, “We talked about how words affect others and how to respond to hate. First Lady Marta Nawrocka also took part in the workshops, emphasizing the importance of discussing hate and building mutual respect. We keep going – this is only the beginning,” it added.
