41.5% of Poles are in favor of a full recount of all votes cast in the presidential election, while 56.3% are against it. Another 2.2% have no opinion on the matter, according to a survey conducted by the IBRiS research center for Radio ZET.
When asked whether all votes cast in the presidential election should be recounted, 20% of respondents said “definitely yes,” and 21.5% said “rather yes,” making a total of 41.5% in favor. On the other hand, 27.7% answered “definitely not” and 28.6% said “rather not,” totaling 56.3% against the recount. 2.2% of those surveyed had no opinion.
Among supporters of the ruling coalition’s opposition – that is, voters of Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska), Poland 2050, the Polish People’s Party (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe), and The Left (Lewica) – 46% chose “definitely yes,” and 27% “rather yes.” Meanwhile, 21% said “rather not,” and 3% “definitely not.” 3% had no opinion.
In contrast, among voters of Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość), Confederation (Konfederacja), and Razem, 0% responded “definitely yes,” and 15% said “rather yes.” A majority of 54% were “definitely against” a recount, and 31% selected “rather not.”
The nationwide IBRiS survey for Radio ZET was conducted between June 27 and 28 using the CATI method (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing), on a representative sample of 1,067 people.
