The legal community is alarmed by what may occur the day after Karol Nawrocki is sworn in as President of the Republic of Poland. According to information shared by Judge Kamil Zaradkiewicz, a forced entry into the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) may be imminent.
Since Waldemar Żurek, currently a politician no longer wearing judicial robes, took control of the Ministry of Justice, reports have begun to surface about possible forceful measures aimed at taking over independent institutions such as the National Council of the Judiciary. Concern within the legal community is growing, particularly today.
A Forced Entry into the KRS?
“According to unconfirmed information, a forced occupation of the KRS headquarters is planned for tomorrow,” wrote Supreme Court Judge Kamil Zaradkiewicz.
Judge Kamila Borszowska-Moszowska reminded the public that “a law enforcement officer not only can but must refuse to carry out an order that violates criminal law.”
“Again?” asked Judge Maciej Nawacki.
