Foreign Interference in Polish Elections? Presidential Minister Warns: “Illegal Actions Are Being Directed from Abroad”

“In election campaigns in Poland, actions are being taken that are not visible, but which are illegal and directly directed from abroad. I cannot say more, but it is the case that foreign actors are interfering in the election campaign and we must face such facts,” said today on TV Republika Adam Andruszkiewicz, Deputy Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.

Today on TV Republika, Adam Andruszkiewicz, Deputy Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, spoke about a potential reaction from Brussels to the outcome of the 2027 parliamentary elections, should conservative groupings return to power.

“This will be a topic that, in my opinion, will be brazenly used by Donald Tusk in their election campaign. They will play on the idea that if Poles dare to replace this disastrous government with a patriotic one, then Brussels and Berlin will take offense and say that “this cannot be allowed, dear Poles, we had an understanding that Tusk would be in charge in your country.” They made Tusk prime minister, and in quotation marks ‘agreed’ with Poles that ‘here you have EU loans, and in return Tusk governs and pursues policies that please Berlin.’ The moment Poles decide to hand power in Poland over to patriots, we will certainly be dealing with such a campaign,” Andruszkiewicz indicated.

“What choice do we have? We can lay down our arms, raise the white flag, let Tusk govern for years and continue selling out Poland to the very end, or we fight and retake the Sejm,” he added.

Asked about the risk of interference by foreign centers in the campaign ahead of the 2027 elections, Andruszkiewicz said he had “bad news.”

“What we see on the surface will be carried out – Poles will be publicly blackmailed that there will be no funds for armaments, that there will be no subsidies – but I also have worse news – I cannot add more. In election campaigns in Poland, actions are being taken that are not visible, but which are illegal and directly directed from abroad. I cannot say more, but it is the case that foreign actors are interfering in the election campaign and we must face such facts. (…) Poles will be subjected to various tests and manipulation, because the stakes in next year’s elections will be immense – we will in fact be fighting for Poland’s sovereignty. If we do not take action to regain it, it may later be too late,” replied the Deputy Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
