“Today, due to the ideological foolishness of the leadership of the Ministry of Education, children will have absolutely no preparation, no sexual education whatsoever. (…) With their gross exaggeration, which parents and students saw through, they wanted to replace honest education with gender ideology that destroys the minds and consciences of children and youth. This is how the leftist experiments of Nowacka and Lubnauer end in Poland,” said Przemysław Czarnek on TV Republika.
Data from schools run by the City of Warsaw concerning health education show that in primary schools, about 43% of students attend health education classes, while about 57% have been withdrawn from them. In secondary schools, only around 14% of students take the subject, while about 86% have withdrawn.
“We believe that, overall, for a first trial year with a new subject, the results are not bad. There is no reason for satisfaction when it comes to secondary schools, but on the other hand, we are talking about a non-compulsory subject,”
said Renata Kaznowska, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, who is responsible, among other things, for education.
It is not difficult to guess that the capital shows only a partial picture of the disaster that the Ministry of National Education’s project has become. What does the situation look like in other, smaller towns?
- Ełk: Deputy Mayor Artur Urbański reported that 399 students expressed interest in taking the subject, while 3,048 opted out – an 87% refusal rate.
- Kielce: 89.6% of secondary school students dropped the new subject.
- The former capital of Poland? The Kraków City Hall reported that only 33% of students would attend health education classes.
Health education is a subject that, as of September 1, replaced “Family Life Education.” This year, it is non-compulsory. Parents who did not want their children to participate in health education classes had to submit a written withdrawal to the school principal by September 25. Adult students had to submit such a statement themselves.
Przemysław Czarnek commented on the complete failure of health education and the Ministry of Education’s initiative on TV Republika:
“Contrary to the narrative of the leftist world, there has always been sexual education in Polish schools. It was conducted by appropriate people for children and youth at a suitable age and level of psychophysical development, for example, within the framework of ‘Family Life Education.’ These classes were not compulsory, so some students did not attend them; there was such a choice, and we gave that choice to parents.”
“Now, when you compare the statistics of those who are not attending health education today… In Warsaw, it’s 86%, and there are cities where not a single student has signed up for it,” he emphasized, adding:
“The tragedy is that today, because of the ideological foolishness of the Ministry’s leadership, children will have absolutely no preparation, no sexual education at all. Under the influence of leftist ideologies, they claimed that there was no sexual education and that it had to be introduced. But it already existed, and today, because of them, it truly doesn’t. With their gross exaggeration, which parents and students recognized, they wanted to replace honest education with gender ideology that destroys the minds and consciences of children and youth. And this is how the leftist experiments of Nowacka and Lubnauer in Poland come to an end.”
