German Police Tried to Push Migrant into Poland. Border Defenders Stopped Them: “We Stand Where We’re Needed”

The Border Defense Movement stopped an illegal migrant whom the German police attempted to push into Poland under the cover of night. There were no Polish authorities present at the scene.

On July 3, around 1:00 a.m., in Gubin, a video shared online by Robert Bąkiewicz shows German police escorting a migrant. No Polish border services were present at that time. The man, unsurprisingly, had no identification documents, and his identity was unknown. Activists from the Border Defense Movement turned him back toward the German side.

“Germany is pushing a migrant into Poland in blatant violation of all rules. Without notifying the Polish authorities, without Border Guards, without police, without procedures, without documents, without clothing, without support infrastructure,” Bąkiewicz wrote.

“At the same time, Tusk, Siemoniak, Sikorski, and Bodnar slander and lie, claiming that the Border Defense Movement is a ‘paramilitary militia,’ that ‘we’re breaking the law,’ that ‘we impersonate the Border Guard,’ while they supposedly have everything ‘under control’…” stated the leader of the Border Defense Movement.

“We stand where we’re needed. This time, the Germans will have to take the migrant back,” he concluded.
