MP Roman Giertych, recently a member of Civic Platform, wrote this weekend on X that Donald Trump betrayed us. He also lumped together all those in Poland who support Trump. According to him, they too are traitors. Such posts always spark reactions, and this time was no different.
The post was answered by, among others, TV Republika journalist Piotr Nisztor, who wrote about a “ruthless attack on our strategic ally” and asked what Radosław Sikorski had to say about it. Did the Foreign Minister respond? A rhetorical question.
Giertych’s post also provoked a response from journalist Szymon Jadczak of Wirtualna Polska, who represents decidedly more liberal views, often aligned with the current government. He wrote that the friend of the current Prime Minister (Roman Giertych – editor’s note) called the head of the defense ministry a traitor. Why? Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz recently wrote on X that the Polish state will support President Donald Trump’s efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine.
To back up his words, the journalist presented the Defense Minister’s post.
Giertych’s thread was also picked up by conservative internet user John Bingham, who referred to a post by presidential minister Zbigniew Bogucki. The latter appealed to the lawyer to stop in his “political foolishness.”
Bingham added, “Minister Zbigniew Bogucki is right. The supposed, fake unity is now needed only by Tusk, who, facing a dramatic lack of support, needs to catch his breath. This hater does not want reconciliation, he wants to destroy you, because that is Berlin’s interest. Let’s not resuscitate this corpse.”
