Halfway Point for the December 13 Coalition: “They’ll try to convince you it’s better…”

“They’ll try to convince you it’s better, cheaper, and that the promises have been fulfilled. Tusk’s deceit can’t withstand contact with reality. What they’ve delivered instead is disappointment and blatant lawbreaking,” wrote Law and Justice (PiS) leader Jarosław Kaczyński on X.

October 15, 2025, is approaching. Almost exactly two years ago – despite Law and Justice (PiS) winning the parliamentary elections – leaders of other parties began coalition talks. On December 13, 2023, a government was sworn in, formed by a coalition of the Civic Platform, Third Way (Polish People’s Party and Polska 2050 Party), and the New Left.

After two years in power, the ruling politicians can no longer count on the public support they enjoyed at the start of their term. This is clearly shown by a survey conducted by Opinia24 for RMF FM.

Nearly half of Poles (47 percent) believe Donald Tusk should be replaced as prime minister; 32 percent oppose changing the head of government, while 21 percent have no opinion.

The state of the coalition at the halfway point of its term was commented on by opposition leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

“They’ll try to convince you it’s better, cheaper, and that the promises have been fulfilled. Tusk’s deceit can’t withstand contact with reality. What they’ve delivered instead is disappointment and blatant lawbreaking,” wrote the politician, adding the hashtag #2YearsOfChaos.

“The wave of lies that brought them to power continues… Enough! Poles, it’s time to open your eyes!” he urged in his post.
