The controversial “Sok z Buraka” page has disappeared from Facebook. This news stirred up Polish internet users on the evening of June 1st — the very same day Poland was electing its president.
Active for years, the Facebook page Sok z Buraka became a textbook example of political hate speech. It supported politicians from the Civic Platform (PO) party while aggressively targeting their political opponents. In 2020, Sok z Buraka spread false content attacking the then-incumbent president, Andrzej Duda. In 2025, the page again joined the fray, this time campaigning against one of the presidential candidates.
“After Donald Tusk’s government came to power, individuals connected to this hate machine found jobs in state-owned companies or began receiving government contracts. Meanwhile, the investigation into Sok z Buraka was dropped by the prosecutor’s office, which is overseen by Adam Bodnar, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General,” we recently reported on Niezalezna.pl.
But something unexpected happened on this symbolic day — the celebration of democracy, June 1st.
“Just moments ago, the hateful and vile Sok z Buraka Facebook page stopped working,” one user reported at 6:19 PM.
And indeed — Sok z Buraka can no longer be found on Facebook.
“The page’s down on Facebook — not good,” wrote one user.
“Did they kick you off FB?” asked another.
Currently, when trying to access the Sok z Buraka link on Facebook, the message reads:
“This content isn’t available right now. This usually happens when the owner only shared it with a small group, changed who can see it, or it’s been deleted.”
It appears that the hate-filled page supporting one of the candidates has been banned.
Why might the page have been banned? The likely reason is the aggressive posts laced with vulgar language targeting one of the presidential candidates. Facebook, as is well known, closely monitors the language used in public content.
