Poles prioritize winter breaks, with rising travel budgets and growing interest in cancellation insurance, especially among younger generations.
As winter approaches, one-third of Poles have already planned their winter break trips, according to a survey by ARC Rynek i Opinia. Another 26% remain undecided. Interestingly, 35% of respondents intend to spend over 3,000 PLN per person, showing a willingness to maintain or even increase spending on vacations compared to last year.
Spending Trends and Travel Insurance
Nearly half of the respondents plan to spend the same amount as last year, while 18% expect to spend more. Protecting travel investments is also a growing trend, with 42% choosing travel cancellation insurance to avoid financial losses from unforeseen changes. Despite this, 18% are unaware of such insurance options.
Younger Generations Lead in Insurance Awareness
Younger travelers (aged 18-24) are most likely to purchase travel cancellation insurance, with one in three planning to secure it. In contrast, only 12% of those aged 45-65 consider it necessary. Experts suggest this reflects younger generations’ preference for flexibility in their travel plans.
