    Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

The Polish tennis player dropped out in the 2nd round of the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam. The Pole lost 6:7, 6:7 to the 28th-ranked Grigor Dimitrov. On Tuesday, Poland’s top tennis player Hubert Hurkacz began this year’s performances in the European part of the ATP season.

The first set of the Hurkacz – Dimitrov clash resembled the rivalry between the Pole and Bautista-Agut. The very good play of both tennis players led to the tie-break. The Bulgarian won 7:4 in the tie-break and the first set 7:6.

The next set was equally evenly matched. However, it brought the first breakthroughs. First, it was made by the Pole, and in the next game by the Bulgarian. This led to the second tie-break. Unfortunately, it again ended unluckily for the Wroclaw player.

In the 1st round, he faced Roberto Bautista-Agut, whom he had never won against before. This time it was he who proved to be better.

After the first set, won by him at 7:5, a tie-break took place in the second. The Pole was already leading in it at 4:0 and then had three match balls. Nevertheless, his rival led to a draw. Fortunately, this did not negatively affect Hurkacz, who proved better in the deciding game in another tie-break.
