U.S. Ambassador Tom Rose announced that the United States is terminating contacts with Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Speaker of the Sejm. Czarzasty himself responded to the announcement in a post published on the X platform, claiming that he “continues to respect the United States.” The politician has recently been in the spotlight following information revealed by Gazeta Polska regarding his alleged dangerous connections.
The U.S. Cuts Off Contacts with Czarzasty
The United States Ambassador to Poland, Tom Rose, informed via the X platform that contacts with Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Speaker of the Sejm, are being terminated with immediate effect. He justified the decision by pointing to Czarzasty’s public statements directed at the President of the United States.
“With immediate effect, we will no longer maintain contact or communicate with Speaker of the Sejm Czarzasty, whose outrageous and unjustified insults toward President Donald Trump have seriously damaged our excellent relations with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his government,” Rose stated.
The matter was also addressed by Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesperson for the President of Poland. According to him, Czarzasty “not only has problems explaining his eastern social and business contacts, but is additionally demolishing Polish–American relations.”
Czarzasty: I Will Not Change My Position
Czarzasty himself also responded to the U.S. ambassador’s statement.
“In line with my values, I stood up for Polish soldiers fighting on missions and did not support the candidacy of President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize,” he declared.
In his post published on the X platform, the politician also claimed that he “continues to respect the United States as Poland’s key partner and therefore regrets Ambassador Tom Rose’s declaration.”
“But I will not change my position on these matters that are fundamental for Polish women and men,” Czarzasty concluded.
Czarzasty’s Dangerous Connections
It is worth recalling that Gazeta Polska established that for two years the current Speaker of the Sejm sat on the parliamentary committee for special services, despite not having undergone vetting by the Internal Security Agency.
The issue of business ties with a Russian woman employed by an auction house linked to Russia’s largest bank controlled by the Kremlin has also emerged. Karol Nawrocki convened a meeting of the National Security Council and will demand explanations regarding what “GP” has established.
