    Iga Świątek Graces the Cover of Prestigious Magazine

    Iga Świątek’s triumph in the WTA final in Madrid continues to reverberate throughout the tennis world. The Polish tennis player secured her third title of the season in a thrilling showdown against Aryna Sabalenka, earning herself a coveted spot on the cover of the prestigious magazine “Elle” for the second time. 

    On Saturday evening, Świątek celebrated her inaugural career victory in Madrid after a gruelling three-set battle with Aryna Sabalenka. Almost instantly, she became the face of newspapers worldwide, gracing the front page of the renowned “Elle” magazine.

    “Gem, set, match. The June issue of ELLE embraces the theme of SPORT, and we couldn’t have envisioned a more fitting protagonist. For Iga Świątek, the most celebrated Polish sportswoman and the reigning world’s best tennis player (emerging victorious in the WTA 1000 Mutua Madrid Open tournament this weekend), this marks her second appearance on our magazine cover,”

    it was proudly declared on Instagram.

    The post also offered a glimpse into an upcoming interview with Świątek, conducted by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Marta Tabiś-Szymanek.

    “Two years ago, I aimed to establish my presence in the right arena; I didn’t feel entirely seasoned as a player. I grappled with navigating the initial wave of success and the accompanying expectations. (…) I am no longer just a tennis player. My role is not as straightforward as I once envisioned it during my childhood dreams of this career,”

    expressed the Polish tennis player.

    The magazine was released on Tuesday, May 7th.
