Czech President Petr Pavel, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are just a few of the foreign leaders who have already congratulated Karol Nawrocki on his victory in the presidential election.
Karol Nawrocki is now officially the winner of the presidential election and the new President of the Republic of Poland. Today, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) announced the results of the second round. All members of the PKW signed both the official protocol and the resolution confirming Nawrocki’s election.
The first foreign head of state to congratulate the newly elected Polish president was Czech President Petr Pavel.
“Congratulations to Karol Nawrocki on being elected President of Poland. I believe that under his leadership, Poland will continue to develop its democratic and pro-Western policies, and our countries will carry on their mutually beneficial cooperation,” the former military officer wrote on platform X.
Among Poland’s neighbors, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda also sent his congratulations.
“Lithuania and Poland are united by sincere friendship rooted in history, culture, and values. I look forward to continuing our close cooperation for the security and prosperity of our nations and all of Europe,” he wrote. He also added in Polish, “Gratulacje, życzę sukcesów!” (“Congratulations, I wish you success!”)
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala also shared his congratulations. The Prague-based premier emphasized:
“Poland is one of our closest allies, and I firmly believe that we will continue to strengthen our relations, which are founded on solid democratic values.”

The Hungarian Prime Minister also responded to the official election results in Poland.
“What a nail-biter! Congratulations to President Karol Nawrocki on his fantastic victory in the Polish presidential elections. We are looking forward to working with you on strengthening Visegrad cooperation. Good luck, Mr. President!” wrote Viktor Orbán.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also published her congratulations.
“I’m confident that the European Union will continue its very good cooperation with Poland. Together we are stronger in our community of peace, democracy, and values. Let us therefore work to ensure the security and prosperity of our common home,” she wrote.

“Poland WON!” wrote Romanian politician George Simion, who recently ran for the highest office in his own country and was present on the final evening supporting Karol Nawrocki and his campaign team.
