Is It a Distraction Tactic? Kaczyński Points to the “Real Reason” Behind Onet’s Attack on Nawrocki

“They have money and access to people who will say whatever is needed,” said Jarosław Kaczyński in response to Onet’s article published on Monday targeting Karol Nawrocki. The leader of Law and Justice (PiS) also pointed to what he called the “real reason” behind the publication.

Just days before the end of the election campaign, Onet launched an attack on Karol Nawrocki. The article by Andrzej Stankiewicz and Jacek Harłukowicz, titled “Karol Nawrocki and the Secrets of the Grand Hotel,” claims that journalists from the portal spoke to Nawrocki’s former acquaintances. These individuals allegedly stated that Nawrocki was involved in procuring prostitutes for guests of the Grand Hotel in Sopot during his time working there as a security guard.

The President of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) responded to the publication. On social media, he announced plans to file a civil lawsuit to protect his personal rights, as well as a private criminal complaint.
“Today in Poland, the real problem is political prostitution — people willing to sell out the country for foreign money,” he said.

Law and Justice leader Jarosław Kaczyński also commented on the article.
“Tusk and Trzaskowski are winning in prisons. That says something about what’s really going on in this campaign — yet another vile, dishonest attack on Karol Nawrocki,” he stated.

“They have money and access to people who will say whatever is needed,” Kaczyński said, adding that the “real reason behind this attack” was an attempt to divert attention from “Trzaskowski, Nitras, and others refusing to take drug tests.”
