“It confirms what I have been saying. PGZ companies are currently being placed under enormous pressure to sign annexes that are simply unfavourable to them. Many people in the industry are fully aware that they are acting against the interests of the companies,” said Mariusz Błaszczak, a Member of Parliament from Law and Justice (PiS) and former Minister of National Defence. The politician commented on the latest findings published by the Niezależna.pl portal concerning contracts under the SAFE programme.
SAFE credit. Ministry of National Defence pressures companies to sign unfavourable annexes
The Niezależna.pl portal reported today that none of the 40 announced agreements under the national component of SAFE has yet been signed. The Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, has announced that they will be signed from today until the end of the month.
According to information obtained by the portal, the tense negotiations are taking place in a scandalous atmosphere: the military and the government are forcing defence industry companies to sign highly unfavourable annexes that overturn the financing system. Their representatives openly speak about the risk of being accused of acting to the detriment of their own companies.
Błaszczak: “The interests of the Polish industry are being pushed to the background”
Mariusz Błaszczak, a Member of Parliament from Law and Justice (PiS) and former Minister of National Defence, referred to these reports in a post published on the X platform.
“It confirms what I have been saying. PGZ companies are currently being placed under enormous pressure to sign annexes that are simply unfavourable to them. Many people in the industry are fully aware that they are acting against the interests of the companies,” he stated.
In his view, “the most concerning thing is that all participants in the process are aware that the proposed changes worsen financing conditions and destabilise the companies’ operating model.”
“We are dealing with a situation in which the interests of Polish industry and state security are pushed to the background, just to meet the expectations of Brussels and announce a political ‘success’,” he concluded.
