Jachira in a Fury at the Airport. Threats and Insults About “Nazis” Directed at Staff

Klaudia Jachira, a member of the Civic Platform (KO) parliamentary club, refused to comply with the standard security procedure at Warsaw Chopin Airport. When staff drew her attention, she began insulting them and called them “Nazis”. She also referenced her connections and threatened them with dismissal.

The incident occurred on October 23 at Chopin Airport in Warsaw. The account comes from two employees on duty at the time. Between 7 and 8 a.m., the MP – like every passenger – was supposed to undergo the standard security check. She refused. Jachira began arguing that she could carry any number of liquids and cosmetics, “and their number doesn’t add up.” She refused to repack them in accordance with the rules applicable to every passenger.

After being reminded that compliance was indeed mandatory, she started threatening that she had just stopped working at the airport. “She claimed to have extensive connections and that she was being politically persecuted by our actions,” one of our informants said. But that was not all. “She started calling us fascists and Nazis. There were also insults directed at us,” witnesses of the incident claim.

When the security staff continued to insist on compliance with the rules applicable to all passengers, the KO MP reportedly began to cry and temporarily block one of the security lanes.

Airport’s Position

We asked the Secretariat of the Security Bureau (BS) at Okęcie whether airport services had intervened in the matter involving Jachira and what the outcome was. In response, the press office of Polskie Porty Lotnicze sent us their official statement.

“In response to the inquiry regarding the security check involving one of the MPs, we would like to emphasize that the safety of all travelers and aviation operations is always our top priority. For this reason, procedures are strictly defined by law and must be enforced with full diligence. All passengers are equal under the applicable security standards based on both national and international regulations. This means that every passenger is treated the same, regardless of social status or public function (except in cases defined by law). We do not apply any special procedures for MPs, and parliamentary immunity does not exempt anyone from undergoing the standard security check at the airport,” the statement said.

As added, all actions by Airport Security Service staff are aimed solely at ensuring a safe journey for all passengers.

Niezalezna.pl tried for several weeks to contact Jachira. She did not answer calls. Niezalezna.pl also sent her text messages.
