Jakub Józef Orliński receives the Gloria Artis Gold Medal, celebrating his global achievements in Baroque music and cultural representation.
Renowned countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński was honored with the Gold Medal “Zasłużony Kulturze Gloria Artis” by Poland’s Minister of Culture, Hanna Wróblewska. The ceremony took place following a concert that marked the opening of the “Dar Paderewskiego” exhibition at the Museum of Interiors in Otwock Wielki, a branch of the National Museum in Warsaw.
A Prolific Career
Born in Warsaw in 1990, Orliński has earned global acclaim for his interpretations of Baroque music. A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and Juilliard School, he has won numerous prestigious awards, including the International Opera Award and Opus Klassik.
International Recognition
Orliński performs on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, such as Carnegie Hall and the Royal Opera House. His performance at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, combining Baroque music with breakdancing, was a notable highlight in his career.
A Tribute to Culture
Minister Wróblewska praised Orliński, saying, “It was a pleasure to award this honor to a countertenor who so brilliantly represents our culture on the world stage.”
