Karol Nawrocki, a candidate for the presidency of Poland, is participating in a meeting organized by the administration of Donald Trump with American congressmen, according to a report by Michał Rachoń, a journalist from TV Republika. Prior to this, Nawrocki had met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
TV Republika had earlier reported on Karol Nawrocki’s unexpected visit to the White House. The civic presidential candidate from Poland was a guest at a meeting hosted by President Trump with U.S. officials, held in honour of the National Day of Prayer. During the event, President Trump announced the establishment of the Commission on Religious Freedom.
Michał Rachoń provided updates on X regarding further points of Nawrocki’s itinerary in the United States. He revealed that the Polish politician had already held talks with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Nawrocki’s next interlocutor was Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
Subsequently, a meeting commenced with U.S. senators, primarily Republicans. Among the topics discussed — as disclosed by Rachoń — was also the issue of the rule of law in Poland under the leadership of Donald Tusk.
