    Estimated reading time: 1 minute

The Czech won for the second time in a row against the Pole in the final of a WTA tournament. This time she triumphed on the Dubai courts, winning 6:4, 6:2 over Iga Swiatek.

Iga Swiatek advanced to the final of the WTA tournament in Dubai at a dizzying pace. The World No.1 rival was a good old friend, Barbora Krejcikova.

Swiatek’s chances of winning didn’t look good as the match began, with Krejcikova breaking her serve. The Pole was taken aback by the Czech’s strong serve and made too many mistakes. Even though she managed to break the return, she quickly lost her serve again. Krejcikova dominated the end of the set, winning eight consecutive balls and ending the first set with a 6:4 score.

Swiatek was able to win the first game, but she was twice unable to break her Czech opponent. When the score was 2:2, Krejcikova took advantage of a moment of weakness from Iga and moved ahead in points. Krejcikova performed excellently and was superior to Swiatek, who is gradually turning into her nemesis.

    Iga Świątek – Barbora Krejcikova 0-2 (4-6, 2-6)
