Kristi Noem: U.S. Homeland Security Secretary to Headline Historic CPAC Conference in Poland

Charismatic, courageous, effective. Although she holds one of the most pivotal positions in President Donald Trump’s administration, Kristi Noem has personally patrolled the U.S. border on multiple occasions and has been involved in apprehending illegal immigrants. In her private life, she is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Kristi Noem, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, will be the special guest at the inaugural CPAC Poland 2025 conference, set to take place on May 26-27 in Rzeszów. The event is co-organized by TV Republika.

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is a global forum for the exchange of ideas that has shaped conservative political discourse since 1973. Originating in the United States and organized by the American Conservative Union, the conference brings together public leaders, politicians, journalists, intellectuals, and citizens who are committed to values such as liberty, sovereignty, responsibility, and tradition.

For the first time in history, Poland will host this distinguished event. The conference will be held on May 26-27 in the heart of the Podkarpackie region—Rzeszów—at the prestigious ZEN.COM Expo Center.

One of the central topics of CPAC will be national security, including border protection. At the invitation of TV Republika, the conference’s special guest will be Kristi Noem, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security and a leading figure in President Donald Trump’s administration.

A Politician with Experience

Kristi Noem (née Arnold) was born on November 30, 1971, in Watertown, South Dakota, into a ranching family and is one of four siblings. Her upbringing is marked by a personal tragedy: her father, Ron Arnold, died in 1994 in a farming accident involving agricultural machinery. Having begun her studies in 1990 and married Bryon Noem in 1992, Kristi had to interrupt her education to manage the family farm. After many years, her siblings assumed responsibility for the farm, allowing her to complete her education and embark on a political career.

In 2006, Noem was elected as a Republican to the South Dakota House of Representatives. In 2010, she won the Republican primary for South Dakota’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and subsequently defeated three-term Democrat Stephanie Herseth Sandlin in the general election. In 2018, she became the first female governor of South Dakota and was inaugurated in 2019. She secured re-election in 2022. In 2023, she endorsed Donald Trump’s candidacy in the Republican primaries. Speculation followed that, should Trump win, he might choose Noem as his vice-presidential running mate. Ultimately, she was appointed Secretary of Homeland Security.

Face to Face with Criminals

Kristi Noem has embraced her new role with vigor. Under her leadership, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has pursued President Trump’s top priorities, including securing the borders, combating illegal immigration, and safeguarding national security. Noem has demonstrated that public office does not confine one to a desk. She has actively participated in border protection efforts.

Viral videos online show her helping to erect barriers on the Texas-Mexico border. In another widely viewed video from Phoenix, Arizona, Noem appears in a bulletproof vest and holding a rifle while assisting border patrol agents in apprehending illegal immigrants. In March, she visited the notorious Terrorist Detention Center in El Salvador, where hundreds of alleged criminals and illegal immigrants deported from the U.S. under the Trump administration are held.

Extremely Popular

Noem has repeatedly emphasized that combating illegal immigration and securing national borders are her highest priorities. She also advocates strengthening U.S. cybersecurity and intensifying counter-terrorism measures. A proponent of capital punishment, she refused to grant clemency to a convicted murderer who brutally stabbed a young man during a robbery while she was governor of South Dakota.

Her bravery, charisma, and distinctive political style have placed her among the most popular members of Trump’s team. Her Instagram account boasts 460,000 followers, where she shares photos and videos documenting both her political engagements and personal life.
