Maciej Lepiato, the Polish high jumper, added another accolade to his illustrious career by winning the gold medal in the T64 category at the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris. Competing at the Charlety Stadium, which recently hosted the spectacular Diamond League, the para athletes took center stage. Representing Poland, they displayed varying degrees of success in France.
In a remarkable display of skill, Maciej Lepiato cleared a height of 2.05 meters in the T64 high jump final, securing the coveted gold medal. At the age of 35, Lepiato continues to cement his status as a true legend in his discipline.
Sochal’s Best Effort Falls Short
Maciej Sochal, competing in the F32 javelin throw final, achieved a distance of 32.64 meters in his best attempt, marking his personal best this season. However, it wasn’t enough to secure a medal.
Kotkowski and Krzywdzińska Face Challenges
12.01 seconds, almost a second slower than the gold medalist Ricardo Gomes from Brazil. Similarly, Agata Krzywdzińska struggled in the T47 sprint, placing last in her heat with a time of 13.26 seconds.
Kibil and Renecka Advance
Jagoda Kibil and Ingrid Renecka (T35) performed well in the 400m race, advancing to the next round.
