Marian Dembiński passed at the age of 76. A long-standing, dedicated member of NSZZ RI “Solidarność” from Lower Silesia, he served as a member of the Polish Parliament during its third term.
Funeral services for Marian Dembiński was held on July 20th in Dobromierz near Wałbrzych.
Dembiński was a member of the Inter-University Strike Committee during the student strikes in 1968 at the University of Wrocław. Joining NSZZ “Solidarność” in 1980, he participated in nationwide protests and continued his opposition activities through the 1980s, distributing underground press and organizing “small sabotage” actions.
