Marta Nawrocka’s Message to Women: “I Chose Life”

“In every woman’s life there comes a moment when we must decide – will I live the way others expect, or the way my courage, intuition and values tell me,” said Marta Nawrocka to participants of the conference “Polish Woman of the 21st Century”.

The conference “Polish Woman of the 21st Century” was held at the Reduta Hall of the Bank Polski building. The main theme of this year’s edition is courage, and the patron of the event is Maria Skłodowska-Curie. The opening speech was delivered by Marta Nawrocka.

The First Lady spoke about courage that accompanies women when making important decisions.

“In every woman’s life there comes a moment when we must decide – will I live the way others expect, or the way my courage, intuition and values tell me,” she said, adding that values are the foundation of freedom.

“Only when a person has values do they know who they are. And when they have courage, they can remain faithful to those values. Only then does true freedom appear,” the First Lady admitted.

“I chose life”

She also spoke about her personal experiences.

“For me, courage has always been something very personal. In my life I have made many decisions that required it. Without faith, courage and support, it would certainly have been harder for me. Today I can say that I chose correctly because I did not give in to fear. I chose life,” she emphasized.

“Let us be strong, courageous and wise,” she added at the end.
